Keana Winston is a dedicated scholar-practitioner committed to empowering students, elevating educators, and driving systemic progress. Beginning her journey as an elementary teacher and math instructional coach in Birmingham City Schools, her exceptional instructional prowess earned her the title of “Teacher of the Year. “ As a Teach for America alum, she has shared her expertise nationwide, served as a Math Coach for School Transformation, and reviewed standardized test items for the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium. Her innovative spirit led her to author a skills-based elementary math intervention program and guide the integration of learning progressions into a nationwide curriculum.

As an Educational Consulttant, Ms. Winston provides professional development to teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators on topics ranging from data-driven instruction to creating academic safety. She has consulted with schools, districts, and states across the country, delivering instructional coaching and professional development in 13 states. With a background as a Public Relations Executive and Radio Personality, she brings a unique perspective to her role, bridging the gap between K-12 and post-secondary opportunities.

Ms. Winston’s passion for educational equity and community engagement inspired her to establish Collective Impact. Through this organization, she collaborates with schools and youth organizations to enhance their academic and enrichment programs and provides professional development and instructional support. Her expertise, enthusiasm, and dedication make her a beacon of hope, inspiring the next generation of education leaders and champions for equity.
